We brought our new arrivals, Ziggy (Ziggy Stardust) and Poppy (Jamcusa Bush Baby) home from Pembrokeshire, in early November.

Ziggy is our gorgeous golden spotted boy who is 18 months old and Poppy, our beautiful brown spotted girl who is just 2 years old.

Julie first spotted this wonderful breed around two years ago in a "Your Cat" magazine advertisement.  She immediately called Eddie (Kitching) the then owner, who luckily was quite willing 'to talk' at length about this beautiful breed.  It was at this point we both fell in love with the 'Mists' and were determined that one day we would become the proud owners  of a boy or girl.

We also have our 'big boy', a Bombay Black called Zeus ( see him later in so very comfy sleeping positions! ) and as he has been an only one for some years we had decided to postpone owning a Mist. Then a turn of events and some major twists of fate gave us the chance to own a breeding pair.....  Well what could we say? We couldn't refuse ......

Phase One underway.......

Phase Two involved lots of thinking, much calculator crunching and lots of back breaking labour (for Glenn) in our once wonderful garden to accomodate our new male arrival  - Ziggy

Phase Three included a journey over to see Sam (a fellow breeder) in Derby to see what we were about to get into. And we sure got into them! Glenn was very taken with Sam's beautiful young male Walnut, and played with him the whole time we were there trying desperately, but failing, to wear him out! Quite the opposite happened - Glenn was shattered!

Phase Four was another journey to Derby for Zeus to be chipped so that once we had the special microchip cat flap installed, he could get out but Poppy would stay safe inside
(A wonderous invention by the way, well worth the money... from www.Sureflap.co.uk)

Phase Five then involved a rather long trek to Wales to finally collect Ziggy and Poppy who have since settled in fantastically well.

Phase Six is providing oodles of fuss and love to our cats (and getting it in return) and a continual battle to hold onto our food as Poppy particularly is insatiable!
